The delegation received a welcome and introduction to Port of Aalborg by CEO, Kristian Thulesen Dahl and Jesper Raakjær, Group Chief Visionary Officer.

The US delegation was interested in learning how Aalborg has developed into a hub for offshore wind and more generally which circumstances and conditions it takes to attract the offshore industry. The exclusive guided tour at the port area focused on showing the large network of leading players like Siemens Gamesa, Bladt Industries A/S and Blaest A/S, and the network of SME’s.

The many upcoming PtX projects were also presented during the guided tour and hereby gave an insight into the port’s large dedication to green transition and the development plan for becoming a hub for clean energy sources.
