The aim of Aalborg Renewables is to bring a community together within the renewables sector in Northern Denmark. That is what happened at the launch event for the community yesterday. “It is all about making the cake bigger, not fighting for the pieces” Anders Eldrup said as he was presenting his keynote speak.

This first event is the start of what Aalborg Renewables is really about, mainly connecting actors to accelerate innovation across the sector. With participants from the public-, and private sector and representatives from the educational system, the foundation for multisectoral collaborations has been laid.

During his speak, The vision – then and now: Denmark as a leading nation within wind energy, Anders Eldrup touched upon topics such as:

• DONG Energys 85/15 strategy
• the finansing model of the offshore wind venture
• becoming worldleading in turbine operation and sustainable investment funding
• the Danish renewables ecosystem
• The new vision and the challenges to come

The next event will be on November 4th and will feature a guide to funding and subsidies by Aalborg University and a Keynote Speak from Pernille Weiss (C), member of the European Parlament about the European energy market.
