Friday November 4th. we had a great breakfast meeting in Aalborg Renewables. The topic of the meeting was was the energy political situation in the EU.
Member of the European Parliament, Pernille Weiss (C), attended the meeting Friday morning and spoke about her work in Bruxelles.

How are we more efficient in the green transition?

Pernille Weiss held her speech on the energy political situation in EU and Denmark. She gave us great insights on her important work in the European Parliament within green solutions. One of her key issues is how we improve energy efficiency to a greater extent. She is also working on “go to areas” which are places where it should be possible to rapidly deploy wind farm installations. Moreover, she talked about climate partnerships within wind energy. She also talked about her work on a European single market for the energy sector.

Funding and subsidy options  

We were also fortunate to present our Advisory Board member, John K. Pedersen, who gave a short insight into funding and subsidy options in EU with a special focus on the field of renewables. Moreover, he presented an overview on the different options within the field of renewables. Moreover, he presented some examples from ongoing projects from Aalborg University.
