In February 2022, Denmark became the first country in the European Union to lift all pandemic-related restrictions. CBS News‘ foreign correspondent Chris Livesay went to Denmark to talk to experts and Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen about why the virus no longer poses a threat to society despite high case count.

The progress is ascribed to a stable society with a strong trust in the recommendations of the authorities, and a robust healthcare system.
